What we store
We store the account details you provide, your books and revisions, generated artwork, downloads, and payment references. Passwords are hashed. Stripe handles payment details; CreateBook does not store your card number.
How your writing is processed
When you request AI writing or artwork, the relevant book details and notes are sent to Google Gemini for writing and OpenAI for artwork. Email messages are delivered through Amazon Simple Email Service (AWS SES). Private files are stored with our configured storage provider. We use this information to provide the service and resolve problems.
Your choices
Your books are private to your account. We do not publish them automatically. You can download your work at any time. For access, deletion, or a privacy question, contacthello@createbook.io.
Cookies and retention
We use an essential session cookie to keep you signed in, and local device storage to recover unsaved writing. Account and book data remain until deletion is requested. Payment records may need to be retained for accounting and fraud prevention. Backups are removed according to the retention schedule configured for the service.
Advertising measurement
We use Meta Pixel and the Conversions API to measure visits, checkout starts, and confirmed payments. This may share browser identifiers, ad click identifiers, IP address, browser information, purchase value, and a hashed email address with Meta. Your manuscripts, notes, and card details are not included. We respect Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals. Contact us to request an advertising opt-out.
Before public launch
This service is in private development. The operating business details, storage provider, and specific backup retention schedule will be added before public registration opens.
